Just as the wisps of a wonderful fragrance touch people in many ways, N.Ranga Rao & Sons, the renowed fragrance makers from the city of Mysore in India have made it their aim to touch people's lives in other meaningful ways too.
This objective has translated into the N R Foundation, a not-for-profit charitiable trust, actively involved in several social activities and supporitng other voluntary organizations involved in social services. The trust is well recognized for its contributions in the areas of education, health, art & culture and services to the physically challenged in and around Mysore.
While community service has always been an important aspect of the NR way of life through the decades, it is now that all theses acitivities are being brought under the umbrella of the Foundation in order to maximize their potential.
If NR Group is deeply committed to serving society, it is only following the footsteps of its illustrious founder and philanthropist, N.Ranga Rao. The entrepreneur whose clarity of thought, disciplined mind, fiercely independent attitude and vision led to the creation of "Mysore Products and General Trading Company", producing soapnut powder, turmeric powder and agarbathies, in 1948.
This is a growth crafted by N.Ranga Rao's basic belief structure: "Quality backed by values will pay". Along with the company, started a tradition that endures till today. A tradition based on strong family values and high moral integrity. A tradition following the founder's guiding principles on integrity, consistent quality, customer responsiveness, financial discipline and most importantly, honouring committments and a genuine concern for social causes.
NR Foundation has been successful in bringing out a directory of Non Government Voluntary organizations in Mysore and Chamarajanagara Districts, engaged in service to the economically, social and physically challenged sections of society.
