N.Ranga Rao, the group's illustrious founder and philanthropist, was an entrepreneur whose clarity of thought, disciplined mind, fiercely independent attitude and vision led to the creation of "Mysore Products and General Trading Company" in 1948, the fore runner of "N.Ranga Rao & Sons".
